Herb, Hex, and Hourglass

Winner of the 2025 Killer Nashville Claymore Award for the Best in Supernatural Fiction , Herb, Hex, and Hourglass is the story of Alma Kea, a restorationist tasked with saving an ailing clock shop from financial ruin. Kessler's Clocks is a place haunted by ghosts, of a kind. Benjamin Kessler, the latest in a long line of clock smiths, may as well be one of them. He's a man with a secret that follows him like a second shadow, and a sadness that tugs at Alma's heart.
As their friendship deepens, the darkness that swirls around the Clockmaker begins to infect Alma's dreams, giving her visions of horrors yet to come. With the help of the enigmatic Sarah Morgan, a woman of indistinct morals who has taken an interest in the Kessler Clockmakers, Alma is determined to unravel the horrible history that threatens to destroy them all.
But she's running out of time.
