Thor and the Stolen Hammer: Tales from the Gods

Thor has faced giants, monsters, and impossible battles, but nothing prepares him for the morning he discovers that Mjölnir is gone. His mighty hammer has been stolen and hidden far beyond Asgard, leaving the gods without one of their greatest defenses. When Loki discovers the thief, the answer only makes matters worse: the giant Thrym will return the hammer for one outrageous price.

Freyja must become his bride. She has no intention of agreeing, and soon the gods are forced to invent a plan so ridiculous that even Thor can hardly believe it. Dressed in bridal clothes and hidden beneath a veil, the thunder god journeys into the land of the giants with clever Loki at his side, hoping to fool Thrym long enough to reach the stolen hammer.

But pretending to be Freyja is harder than Thor expected. His enormous appetite, blazing eyes, and barely controlled temper threaten to ruin the disguise before the wedding ceremony even begins. Can Loki keep the deception alive long enough for Thor to reclaim Mjölnir, or will the strangest wedding in Norse mythology end before the thunder god gets his chance?
